1:00-3:00 Museum Tours
Marseilles Nursing Service in Cooperation with the Seattle Sutton Family are hosting an event July 25th that includes a Dr Sutton Memorial River Walk, Taste of Marseilles, and tours of the Marseilles Museum. This will be set up in the parking lot of the Marseilles City Hall building. We will start with the traditional Dr Sutton Memorial Walk to honor and remember Dr Sutton. This event is simply a gathering of people, kids, dogs, and families who will go on a brief walk along the Riverfront. A $5 donation will be requested to participate to support the Marseilles Nursing Service. For those who are unable to walk the Museum train will be there for rides. For Taste of Marseilles, we will have 2 large tents set up to house the participants. We are providing to each an 8 foot folding table, and a sign with their name on it. Tables and chairs will also be available for people to sit and eat. There is no charge to participate. In return we are asking food venders to provide one free “taste” of food, and you are welcome to sell lunches as well. Seattle Sutton Museum will be open for guided tours from 1-3 and have the train running all day to bring people back and forth. We are still in the planning phase but are curious who might be interested in participating so we can move on to making arrangements. Please text me with any questions you have, and let me know if you are interested by June 15th.
If you have any ideas on this we would love to hear them also. Kathy Rosengren Marseilles Nursing Service 815-883-0235
