If you drove past Knudson Park on Lincoln Street today, you saw the foundation work being done for the new digital Marseilles Emergency Services sign. The City recognized a need for a more visual and centralized alert and notification system. Several options were discussed and it was determined that a digital sign would be the most helpful to both residents and tourists. With the approval of Mayor Hollenbeck and working through the local CURE program, Chief Faber of the Marseilles Police Department submitted the design, information, and application required for the grant and was awarded 100% reimbursement. The sign will be utilized by all Marseilles emergency services. The sign is scheduled to be installed within a week
